WND now officially supports Left4Dead.
Given the large amount of people who play this game, it might be a bit of a surprise this wasn't launched sooner. There were some heated discussions on the feasibility of it being a clan game (with a maximum of only 8 players at a time), and some discussion on where to go with it. I figure we can at least let the world know what we're playing and what other games new recruits can find us at. Plus, it's a place to dump all our other threads about L4D in, and let clannies keep up to date on what maps/gametypes/etc. others have been playing (Kev, get busy!). The branch itself does not have a leader *yet*, as I haven't talked plans with any of the BL applicants.
The culture of the game really promotes teamwork and having fun over actual competitiveness (I say that tongue-in-cheek because a few of you know how competitive I can get), so part of my plan is to ensure that our culture of 'playing for fun' stays intact.
To those that don't have the game or have been living in a box for the last several months, I'll sum Left4Dead up real quick. Imagine yourself and three buddies with shotguns/uzi's, and about 500 zombies out to get you. If that doesn't get you at least a little excited, I'll get Boz to bake you some lemon cookies.

On Saturday the twenty-first of February, two titanic groups came into contact with each other for a battle of skills, wit, and big guns.
Their names were WND and UKR.
The groups? In WND, holding up the green banner, were Cuffs, Byzmaster, Video Mixer, and MidgetShotgun.
In UKR, holding their corner, were Spendy, Speedy, Velocity, and Show.
The match? Left4Dead No Mercy versus contest.
The winners? Well, I think you can guess who came out on top.
The Wanderers Clan! Battling merciless hordes of zombies, boomers, hunters, smokers, tanks, witches, and internets, the Wanderers came out on top in a 300-point victory that resounded throughout the eaves of Ventrilo for almost a minute. UKR fought well, with magnificent strength and valour, but in the end they were no match for our brave boys. My babbling, Video's vent silence, Cuffsy's high-pitched YAYS, and Byzy's frantic wall-shooting simply destroyed those United Kingdom Rockers.
So let's give a hand to UKR, and an even bigger hand to the winners!
