So, I have moved into my Uni accommodation and have been greeted with 0.05mb down and 0.02 up. Looks like I'll be out for online gaming this year.

Don't expect much. Mine gets anywhere between 0.3~15mbps down (averages 3mbps) and 0.01~0.5mbps up -- with 300ms ping to a nearby speedtest server.
Video still owes me a fucking funnel-cake.

I feel your pain. I moved into my new house and because of the previous tenants durp we had to get a new phoneline...due to system crashes at the post office they've been so slow and have now quoted the 4th October. I'll try to get my net in on the next day (I'll probably be with Orange as they are pretty cheap, it'll be shitter than my regular virgin media but oh well)
Oh. My Uni internet was amazing when I was in halls last year. I used to host the L4D servers for us and that was when we were all getting amazing ping. I miss halls. I went to download the android app that I'm currently using to make my phone a router and it downloaded it in 10 seconds (144mb).

It doesn't count youtube, iplayer, skype or facebook. Its faster than my internet at home though and once you go over the cap you just get slow internet.
