Holy crap byzy - you could have easily backed up all the old posts with DownThemAll.

It's not going to put them in a workable format (a format that can be merged with an IpB database). But at least it could have preserved all the posts.

I've actually used DownThemAll (and Httrack) to back up numerous forums that I've lost. After the Tonto clan forums went gone (and same for LKS as well), I really did not want to lose such history again so I came about and used DownThemAll to archive every single post from several forums I posted on. Granted, I am running out of space on my external HDs, but the Wanderers Clan forum archives shouldn't be that large

Okay, here's the thing. I've managed to save the google caches of a few of the posts. They're at http://simfish.xtreemhost.com/WND . But I would like other people to do a favor ASAP (before google deletes its caches). Someone here should get downthemall (it's an easy firefox extension at https://addons.mozil...efox/addon/201/) and download all the entries in the cache of each of google search results that I saved. I can't do it all because google keeps on accusing my computer of being a bot each time I try to click on the "cache" button. I recently entered some very complicated search queries into Google. So someone else will have to do it.

It will be far from a full mirror, but it will still be a lot better than nothing. Basically the query I used was "index php" -inurl:lofiversion -inurl:showuser site:wanderersclan.net (I tried using more complicated queries but google accused my browser of being a bot)
